Estimates of annual U.S. job growth cut by 818,000 to 2.1 million

The Bureau of Labor Statistics Wednesday said in a preliminary estimate that 818,000 fewer U.S. jobs than first reported were created in the 12 months ending March 2024. It's a 0.5% reduction in the jobs estimate.
