Hudson Falls duo arrested after Queensbury traffic stop

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two Hudson Falls residents were arrested after a traffic stop in Queensbury on Tuesday. John Rowland, 46, and Brittany Columbetti, 38, both face charges.

On Tuesday, around 12:52 a.m., the Warren County Sheriff's Office deputies pulled over a car on Lower Warren Street in Queensbury for a traffic offense. Deputies identified Rowland as the driver and Columbetti as the passenger.

According to law enforcement, Rowland had a large quantity of crack cocaine, as well as scales and packaging equipment for narcotic sales. He was also found to have a smaller amount of methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms, as well as a switchblade knife. Deputies say Columbettie was found with crack cocaine.

Rowland Charges:

  • Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia
  • Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance

Columbetti Charges:

  • Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance

Rowland was arraigned at the Warren County CAP Court and held at the Warren County Correctional Facility without bail. Columbetti was processed at the sheriff's office and released, pending arraignment in Queensbury Town Court at a later date.
