Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Could Have an Awkward Reunion Soon Due to Their Joint Projects

Like so many Hollywood power couples out there, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez worked together a few times during their two-year marriage. From Affleck’s cameo in Lopez’s documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, to Affleck working as a producer in Lopez’s upcoming movies Unstoppable and Kiss of the Spider Woman, it seems the pair wasn’t afraid to mix business with pleasure.

However, with the recent news of their divorce, it seems Lopez and Affleck might be regretting that decision.

According to Daily Mail, Lopez and Affleck will not only continue to work together in those two movies, but they might have some awkward run-ins too.

“[Unstoppable producers] pushing the two to appear together at the premiere in Toronto to create buzz on the film,” the source added. The movie, which stars Lopez, Jharrel Jerome, Don Cheadle, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and more, is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6.

Unstoppable tells the inspiring story of Anthony Robles (Jerome), a brave young man who, despite being born with only one leg, defies expectations to become a champion wrestler in college.

If you ask us, we’re thinking Lopez and Affleck will try to avoid an on-camera run-in as much as possible. But considering that Lopez is the star, and Affleck produced the movie with his very own production company, Artists Equity, it could really go either way.

Unfortunately for them, TIFF won’t be their only concern either. Lopez and Affleck’s other joint project, Kiss of the Spider Woman, which tells the story of a gay man and a political prisoner sharing a 1980s Argentinean prison cell, is still in pre-production. Plus, Lopez, in addition to starring in it, will be executive producing it too.

Let’s just say that if either of them doesn’t back down, Lopez and Affleck will very much still be in each other’s lives, whether they like it or not.

And as new details of their split continue to trickle in, we’re getting more and more confident that their split was far from amicable. “Ben hasn’t given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage,” the insider told People. “He hasn’t shown any commitment and interest in making their marriage work.”

So can these not-so-friendly co-stars put on a brave face and work together? Only time will tell.
