Travis Kelce to Cameo In 'Happy Gilmore 2,' Adam Sandler Confirms!

Travis Kelce manifested a new movie role!

The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end has been landing acting roles left and right, and earlier this summer, expressed his interest in making an appearance in the Happy Gilmore sequel.

“I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2. But if there is, I’ll be a f-cking extra, you know? Anything you can do to just get around Happy Gilmore or an Adam Sandler film or set. Count me in,” Travis said on his New Heights podcast in June.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, Adam Sandler confirmed there is a part in Happy Gilmore 2 for Travis!

“We’re getting ready to shoot it in New Jersey,” Adam said on The Tonight Show. “Yeah, we start in a couple weeks.”

He also teased that the sequel is “good. It’s good. Like, we worked hard on the script, man. We didn’t want to let anybody down. People have been asking me for a long time, ‘Do Happy Gilmore 2,’ and I was always like, ‘Nah, that’s, I’ll only let you down.’”

“But then me and my buddy Tim Herlihy, we came up with this idea. We’re really excited about it,” he added. “We wrote our asses off. We’re continuing to try to make it a movie that you guys will like. And I think it’s… we’re excited.”

Jimmy then asked about some cameos, more specifically Travis Kelce.

“Yes. Travis has mentioned it, and so we have a nice something for Travis. He’s going to come by and, and he’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”

Additional casting and plot details for Happy Gilmore 2 have yet to be revealed.

In the original movie, Adam played Happy Gilmore, a hockey player with anger management issues who discovers he’s also got a talent for golf. He joins the golf tour circuit to win money to save his grandmother’s house, going against an arrogant pro named Shooter McGavin.
