Each 200g box has been marketed at a retail price of £6.30 making the fresh take on the well-known sweet treat perfect for gift-giving.

Coffee lovers will be excited to hear that the brand’s announcement include the Tiramisu flavour.

From September shoppers will be able to get their hands on the Italian-inspired dessert in Tesco supermarkets.

Lindt promises that the Ode to a Beloved Dessert promises “tradition”, “celebration” and “sophistication”.

Whilst A Nutty Symphony is the name for the finest melting pistachio filling offering dessert lovers “harmonious blend of nutty richness” and a “creamy indulgent taste experience”.

Those wanting the restaurant dining experience in their own home are also in luck as the limited edition Irish Cream flavour has been approved for “after dinner indulgence”.

Buyers need not fear the short lived time span of this sale as LINDOR have also introduced the Dark 70% Mint for after-dinner treats.

Since 1845, Lindt Chocolatiers have combined their expertise with the highest quality ingredients from around the world.

The LINDOR brand launched in 1949 but the iconic truffles were not originally released until 1969.

Lindt now produces over one billion LINDOR truffles in almost 100 different countries.

How to save money on chocolate

CONSUMER reporter Sam Walker explains how to save money on your next chocolate haul...

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed on flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
