New courtesy dad service launched for motorists who fear being ripped off by car salesmen

MOTORISTS who fear being ripped off by car salesmen and mechanics can turn to a new courtesy dad service.

One in seven drivers like a relative’s support and advice at dealerships and garages.

But they may not always be available so Carmoola will provide one for hire at £50 an hour.

Founder Aidan Rushby said: “Buying a car should be exciting, but it can also be stressful, from choosing the right model to negotiating the best price.

“Having someone on your side can make all the difference.”

It found three in ten under-35s, and one in five 35-44 year-olds, call on a relative, nearly always dad, for advice.

Carmoola is also a digital finance lender and Mr Rushby added: “We can assist with your financial needs and run checks to make sure the car isn’t a dud but we can’t physically be there with our customers as they choose their next vehicle.

“That’s why we’re thrilled to launch our courtesy dad service.”

He urged good advice-givers who know a thing or two about cars to sign up or nominate someone who does.
