Parents are avoiding hard conversations with Gen Z

Parents who find a topic difficult are less likely to bring it up even when they think it’s important.

Difficult conversations with parents are rite of passage for childhood, whether it’s about friendship, grades, mental health, or romance. However, a new Gallup poll shows that while at least 80% of Gen Z says these conversations are helpful, their parents are shying away from having them. The survey’s results are based on 1,675 pairs of responses from 10- to 18-year-old children and one of their parents. Here’s some of the key points.
