KDOT asks for community input on Geary Co. I-70 project

GEARY Co., KS (KSNT) - The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is asking for community input on an I-70 project before they start construction.

KDOT held an Aug. 21 open house at the Ogden Community Center to solicit feedback from folks in the area.

According to the project manager, Ryan Robinson, there are safety issues with the current interchange at I-70 and K-18 in Geary County.

"It's a really heavily traveled interchange," Robinson said, "and these improvements will significantly improve safety and will help the interchange operate better."

For those who missed the open house but want to provide feedback, KDOT will be accepting feedback at this link through Sep. 4.

Construction is tentatively set to begin in the fall of 2025. For more project details, click here.
