Moment of silence held at Saratoga Race Course in honor of John Hendrickson
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- It was a somber day at the Saratoga Race Course on Wednesday. Fans, jockeys and trainers paused to honor philanthropist John Hendrickson, who died unexpectedly on Monday. He was 59 years old.
Hendrickson, the husband of the Queen of Saratoga Marylou Whitney, served as chair of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. Both Hendrickson and Whitney were strong advocates for the backstretch community.
