Maharashtra government issues guidelines to ensure girls' safety in schools; makes CCTV mandatory in premises

Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha directed the Mumbai Suburban District Collector to implement safety measures for women and children. Starting September 1, self-defence training will be available in schools and colleges. CCTV cameras, staff verification, and emergency helplines will be mandatory, along with regular female parent committee meetings discussing girls' safety.
