BSF DG visits forward areas along IB in J-K, reviews security

BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chawdhary visited forward areas along the International Border in the Jammu frontier on Thursday to assess the situation and review the operational readiness of the troops. This marked his first visit to the region since assuming leadership of the force. During his visit, he interacted with the troops and was briefed on security measures by top officials. The visit is significant as it comes ahead of the upcoming three-phased elections in Jammu and Kashmir, starting on September 18, with enhanced security measures being implemented along the border.
