ENG-W vs IND-W: India To Face England In First-Ever Women’s Test Match At Iconic Lord’s In 2026, Confirms ECB
New Delhi: On a historic occasion, India will take on England in a one-off first-ever women’s Test match at the iconic Lord’s in the United Kingdom, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed on Thursday. England women have played white-ball matches at Lord’s for the past three years, with another scheduled next year, but it will be the first time the ground has hosted a women’s Test match.
Before that England women’s will host India in a eight-match white-ball series next year. England will play five T20Is at Trent Bridge (June 28), Bristol’s Seat Unique Stadium (July 1), The Kia Oval (July 4), Old Trafford (July 9) and Edgbaston (July 12). The two teams will then engage in a three-match ODI series at Southampton (September 2), Lord’s (September 4) and Chester-le-Street (September 7).
“I’m also delighted we can confirm that India Women will return in 2026 to take on England Women in the first-ever women’s Test match at Lord’s. It will be a truly special occasion, and one of real significance,” said Richard Gould, ECB Chief Executive Officer.
