COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - From celebrating your furry friends at Bark Bash, to the Columbus Clippers series at Huntington Park, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.
Huntington Park, now through Sunday
- The Columbus Clippers face the Indianapolis Indians in a six-game series.
Nationwide Arena, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m.
- The music group is set to perform, alongside singer and dancer Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
120 Goodale Blvd., Aug. 24 from 1 to 5 p.m.
- Patrons can enjoy an afternoon trying mimosas with drink specials, a souvenir cup and more. Tickets are still available. Must be 21 and older to attend.
Darby Bend Lakes area of Prairie Oaks Metro Park, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Dog lovers and their furry friends can enjoy the featured canine vendors, visit with rescue organizations and humane societies, along with food vendors and more. Bark Bash will also hold stand-up, paddle boarding and kayaking for humans and their dogs, along with several other activities.
1132 Windsor Ave., Aug. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Action for Children is hosting its Annual Back-to-School Family Fair. The event will feature backpack and clothing giveaways, food, resources and more.
Whetstone Park, Aug. 24 from 1 to 5 p.m.
- The first arborfest is a celebration of trees, plants, waterways, animals and insects of Columbus. The festival is free for all ages and will feature live music, local exhibitors, a native plant sale and more.
Grandview Avenue, Aug. 24 from 5 to 9 p.m.
- Enjoy a variety of vendors, artists, food trucks, pet supplies and more up along a half mile stretch of Grandview Avenue.
2024 Columbus Women & Girls’ Fest
925 Mt. Vernon Ave., Aug. 25 from noon to 6 p.m.
- The festival celebrates and promotes women and girl leaders in arts and culture. The celebration features live music, performances, food trucks, games, arts and crafts, community forums and more.
785 Science Blvd., Aug. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Unlimited food sampling will be available from more than 20 local food vendors, live music, beverages and more.
