Last year, if you wanted to get your hands on one of the fastest SUVs on the market, you would’ve called up your local Range Rover dealer and tried to buy the 2024 Range Rover Sport SV Edition One. At that point, the dealer likely told you, ‘sorry, they’re all sold, but out wait until 2025.’

Well, the time has come, the 2025 Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two is here, but don’t expect it to be here for long. If it’s anything like Edition One it’ll sell out quickly.

“What makes Range Rover Sport SV so desirable is its unique combination of dynamic performance, modern sporting luxury design, its cutting‑edge sensory technology and breadth of capability,” said Geraldine Ingham, managing director of Range Rover. “For the first year,” she explained, “this was initially only open to clients by reservation. Today we announce the next step in our SV line‑up, Range Rover Sport SV EDITION TWO, available with new design themes which offer our discerning clients the chance to enjoy four distinct characters of our high‑performance luxury SUV.”

What Exactly Is the 2025 Range Rover Sport SV?

The SV badge on the trunk lid of a Range Rover marks it as the pinnacle of the brand’s lineup. For example, the full-size Range Rover SV approaches Rolls-Royce levels of luxury and refinement while still retaining Range Rover’s legendary off-road prowess. The slightly smaller Range Rover Sport SV goes in another direction. The Sport SV is all about raw speed, noise, adrenaline, handling, power and did we mention spine-tingling speed?

What’s Under the Hood?

The mechanicals remain unchanged. As with the 2024 Sport SV Edition One, it’s still the most powerful Range Rover ever. Under the hood is a mild‑hybrid twin-turbo V8 engine cranking out 626 horsepower and 553 lb‑ft of torque.

Power, as they say, is nothing without control. That’s where the miraculous 6D Dynamic suspension comes in. This system is exclusive to the brand’s most high-performance machinery and features hydraulic interlinked suspension, which does a magical job of keeping this hefty vehicle under control during extreme acceleration, braking and cornering. As before, its beefy Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and 23-inch carbon-fibre wheels are available as an option. Total weight savings — if you tick all the right boxes — is 76 kilograms. (The carbon brakes and wheels also just look extremely cool, which is also a perfectly valid reason to tick those option boxes.)

Here in Canada, it start at $236,775, but the price varies depending on the theme.

What About the Four New Themes for 2025?

The 2025 Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two isn’t a you-can-have-any-colour-as-long-as-it’s-black situation. It comes in four colourways — sorry, “exclusive curations” — including an exclusive new Blue Nebula Matte paint, as well as a range of forged carbon-fibre finishers. Here are details on all four colourways for 2025:

• Blue Nebula: The colour was inspired by the Northern Atlantic coast, according to the company. The matte colour-shifting finish has a hint of green. The Blue Nebula exterior is paired with the new Satin Forged Carbon exterior pack, a painted carbon‑fiber bonnet and 23‑inch forged black alloy wheels – complemented by Blue Nebula brake calipers. Inside, SV Performance Seats are finished in Light Cloud and Ebony Windsor leather.

• Marl Grey Gloss: The grey glossy exterior is paired with a Gloss Carbon Twill exterior pack, Exposed Carbon Twill bonnet and 23‑inch Carbon Gloss wheels with Sunrise Copper calipers, offered with a Rosewood and Ebony Windsor interior.

• Sunrise Copper Satin: This exterior finish goes nicely with the Satin Carbon Twill exterior pack, painted carbon fibre bonnet and a 23‑inch forged black alloy wheel with red anodized calipers. Inside, the seats are upholstered in Ebony Windsor leather.

• Ligurian Black Gloss: This inky black paint is paired with the Satin Carbon Twill exterior pack, exposed carbon fibre bonnet and 23‑inch Carbon Gloss wheels with contrasting Nano Yellow brake caliper, and Cinder and Ebony interior in knit and Ultrafabrics.
