Topeka hobby store to move into West Ridge Mall this fall

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topeka's West Ridge Mall is due to accept a new tenant this fall specializing sports cards and memorabilia.

Casey Richardson, West Ridge Mall's manager, told 27 News R&D Collectibles will be opening a new location at the mall on Nov. 29. This will be located on the upper floor of the mall near its food court area, giving it plenty of space for retail and signing events.

R&D Collectibles is relocating to the mall to take advantage of the additional space it has to offer its growing business. This will help the store show off its extensive collection of sports cards, memorabilia and other merchandise. This larger space will also give it more options for signing events, which is expected to be a bonus to sports enthusiasts who want to get closer to their favorite athletes and celebrities.

"We are excited to welcome R&D Collectibles to West Ridge Mall," Richardson said. "Their new location will not only enhance the shopping experience for our visitors but also contribute to the vibrant and diverse retail environment we strive to maintain. We look forward to the grand opening and the positive impact R&D Collectibles will bring to our community."

Richardson said the grand opening on Nov. 29, Black Friday, will line up with the busiest shopping day of the year. Shoppers will be able to visit R&D Collectibles on this day and can take advantage of special promotions and events.

R&D Collectibles is currently located at 1507 SW 21st Street in Topeka. You can find West Ridge Mall at 1801 SW Wanamaker Road. To learn more about the mall and what it has to offer, click here or follow it on Facebook.
