Preview: Motherwell (A)

We return to action on Sunday as we face Motherwell away from home in the SWPL. Read our Match Preview below for full details!

THE LOWDOWN

Hibs Women will travel to Motherwell on Sunday (25 August) as we look to continue our positive start to the league season.

Grant Scott's side come into this match on terrific form, having picked up maximum points against all three of our opponents so far.

In our latest match the girls put in a terrific performance against Dundee United, coming away with a 6-0 victory.

Doubles from Eilidh Adams and Linzi Taylor, followed up by Mya Christie and Kathleen McGovern strikes, brought up the scoreline.

Three wins from three means Hibs maintain their 100% start to the league season, seeing us level on points with Rangers and Celtic at the summit of the SWPL table.

THE VISITORS

Motherwell will look to bounce back following a heavy 5-1 defeat to Celtic. Conceding after just three minutes, they will look to start more positivity against the Hibees.

Despite the defeat, Motherwell have had a promising start to the season, winning 3-2 against Montrose after thrashing Spartans 5-1 on the opening day of the new SWPL season.

Last season, we faced Motherwell twice and claimed victory across both fixtures. A 1-0 away victory early in the season was followed up with a more impressive 5-0 win at Meadowbank in January.
