It seems like only yesterday there was a little movie on the rise starring one Mr. Keanu Reeves.

Now, ten years later, that movie has become a full-fledged franchise with multiple spinoffs and sequels in the works.

When was John Wick: Under The High Table Greenlit for Season 1?

The announcement for John Wick: Under The High Table came in August 2024, much to the delight and surprise of fans everywhere.

The Continental launched the franchise’s first foray into television with lukewarm responses in 2023.

The series received mixed reviews, and many fans were unhappy.

However, unlike the previous series, John Wick: Under The High Table has a different set of hands at the wheel.

What Is John Wick: Under The High Table About?

In John Wick 4, John and Caine secure their freedom from the High Table after John kills the Marquis (Bill Skarsgård).

This results in Winston (Ian McShane) being reinstated as the manager of the newly rebuilt New York Continental.

Although John is severely wounded, his fate remains uncertain, as the film ends with his fate left ambiguous.

A post-credits scene hints at a potential confrontation between Caine and Akira, who seeks revenge for her father’s death earlier in the film.

John Wick: Under The High Table is expected to pick the action up right where John Wick Chapter 4 left things.

The series’s official description says it “combines new and old to thrust the Wick universe into a new age.”

Furthermore, it will deal with unknown figures attempting to take the criminal enterprise head-on.

How Many Episodes Will John Wick: Under The High Table Season 1 Have?

At the moment, there is no official episode count for John Wick: Under The High Table.

The Continental featured a three-episode count.

The creators may keep to this amount.

For one, it allows for a tighter, cleaner story. Especially since John Wick: Under The High Table is supposed to lead right into John Wick Chapter 5.

Currently, no names are connected to any roles for John Wick: Under The High Table.

Keanu Reeves is attached as a producer.

However, his character appears to remain dead until he returns to reprise his role in John Wick 5.
