Second arrest made in connection to dog theft investigation

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany police have made a second arrest in connection to a dog theft investigation. Shalon Jones, 46, of Albany, was arraigned Thursday afternoon and sent to Albany County Jail.

Around 9:40 a.m. on August 5, police were called to the 200-block of Myrtle Avenue for a report of two French bulldogs that had been stolen. Police learned the dogs had been taken off the owners' front porch the night before.

Police said Jones was in possession of the 1-year-old dog the night the dogs were stolen. She was charged with one count of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree and one count of hindering prosecution in the third degree.

Destiny Winslow, 29, was the first person to be arrested in the case. She was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of property. 

Only one dog has been located. Authorities are still looking for a dog named Nova.
