Report: Tottenham star turns down offer from Spanish club
With just seven days left to go in the summer transfer window, more transfer activity is likely to happen within the ranks of Tottenham.
Fabrizio Romano provides update on Manor Solomon
Fabrizio Romano has today revealed that Tottenham winger Manor Solomon has now turned down an offer to complete a late move to Getafe.
Amidst reports that Spurs are looking to loan out Solomon, it emerged on Thursday that the winger was generating plenty of interest from England as well as from abroad.
This claim was first made by Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe, who revealed that an unnamed Spanish club and Leeds United were both keen on signing the Israel international on loan.
Late on the same day, Barca Times reporter Shay Lugassi identified Getafe as the La Liga club that had made a move for the Spurs star, with the journalist revealing that a couple of Premier League clubs had also signalled their interest.
Lugassi revealed that Solomon was also on the radar of some Bundesliga and Serie A side, however, suggested that the player’s preference is to remain in England.
Manor Solomon has rejected a move to Getafe
Romano has now also taken to social media to confirm that the 25-year-old intends to remain in the Premier League.
The Italian journalist gave that as the reason why Solomon has turned down Getafe’s offer, adding that the winger is expected to seal a loan move away from N17 before the window closes.
Romano wrote on X: “Manor Solomon, still expected to leave Spurs in the final days of the transfer window.
“Solomon has rejected formal bid from Spanish side Getafe and his priority remains to stay in England.”
Spurs Web Opinion
A few Premier League clubs will be vying for Solomon’s signature, given how well he did at Fulham during the 2022-23 season.
I would expect some bottom-half clubs to present offers to the former Shakhtar Donetsk man over the coming days.
