Just after half-time, the hosts broke forward and the ball was eventually crossed in to Sinclair on the edge of the box.

The 23-year-old quickly adjusted his body before firing a powerful volley into the bottom-right corner, emulating his dad.

Fans on social media were quick to point out the similarities, with one person writing: “What a strike by Isaac Sinclair for Curzon Ashton on Tuesday night, wonder where he’s seen that technique before .”

Another commented: “What an absolute finish this is.”

While a third simply said: “Class!”

Isaac’s dad, ex-West Ham and Manchester City star Trevor, also commented on the video, writing: “I’d like to say it’s in his genes but it’s all about Isaac & how disciplined he is .”

He added: “I’ve watched Isaac practice this 100’s of times in the back garden as a kid, but watching him execute it in the National league north game last night, hit differently & made me very proud. Go again son.”

Trevor made 360 Premier League appearances throughout his playing career.
