‘I don’t know where I see myself in 10 years’ admits Jay Blades after difficult months following shock split from wife

THE REPAIR Shop’s Jay Blades has shared that he can’t picture what his life will look like in ten years following a difficult split with his wife.

The professional furniture restorer was left stumped when he read out the question about his future during an interview with Hungry Jay Media.

“This one is quite hard,” he admitted. “I don’t know where I see myself in ten years.”

However, after taking some time to think about it, Jay admitted that there are two big aspirations he has.

He added: “I’m really having a lot of fun doing what I’m doing. I think in ten years I would like to have a successful gameshow.

“Also I would like to have worked with all of the people that I admire.

“I’m already doing that now but there’s I’ve got to work with – and you’re not going to know who that is just yet.”

Jay has been powering through his TV jobs over the past few months despite his wife deciding to divorce him after deciding there was “no way back” for their marriage.

Lisa-Marie Zbozen consulted with lawyers in June and let friends know that she wants to move on from Jay as quickly as possible.

Lisa, who had lived with Blades in Shropshire, announced the end of their marriage on May 2.

She said: “The world got the best of my husband and I got a whole lot of everything else.”

And she added: “I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much.

“I wanted my husband to love me and keep me safe and I would love him right back.”

Jay had little to say publicly about the split, simply responding to concerned fans with a two-word message.

When followers asked if he was okay, he simply wrote back: “Getting there.”
