Morning Joe panel laughs at Trump meltdown on Fox after Harris' big acceptance speech
As part of a postmortem on the wildly popular 2024 Democratic National Convention that concluded Thursday night in Chicago, the entire "Morning Joe" panel laughed at Donald Trump's "desperate" phone-ins to conservative outlets to complain about how he was portrayed.
Late Thursday, the former president called into both Fox News and Newsmax, and his Fox call was littered with him appearing to be fumbling with his phone which eventually led to the call be concluded early.
On Friday morning, former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) explained why the convention was so effective at getting under Trump's skin.

"Should I confess now that the thing I enjoyed the most about this convention, that it was so good at all the stuff that bugs Donald Trump," she laughed. "The production values were off the charts, everything looked great, the timing was seamless, there was no big drama anywhere, there were no tensions."
She then added, "We had more stars than he had. We had better ratings than he had; all the stuff that he thinks are important, they did really well this week. I confess that kind of gives me a grin."
"Well he desperately, after Vice President Harris' speech, was desperately calling into TV networks, sometimes appeared to be sitting on some of the keys of his phone while he spoke," co-host Wille Geist pointed out as the entire panel could be heard laughing.
"Called Fox News, they kind of cut him off. Called into Newsmax," he added.
