Stunning beach resort named the ‘best in Spain’ with five pools and tropical gardens – you can fly there for £18
A BEACH resort in Spain has been named the best in the country – and it’s cheap to fly there.
The Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri in Cadiz was named the best at the World Travel Awards, the “Oscars of Tourism”.
The resort has 349 rooms to choose from[/caption] If you don’t fancy a sea swim, there are five pools at the hotel[/caption]The Barcelo resort is right on the La Barrosa beach which has been awarded a Blue Flag.
But if you fancy staying at the hotel, then there are five swimming pools to choose from.
Along with this there are even natural lakes and huge tropical garden.
Other activities include the largest spa in Andalusia, a tennis/paddle court as well as watersports.
Despite being a five star hotel, rooms won’t break the bank with nealry 350 to choose from.
The basic rooms start from just £124, or upgrade to a sea view from £143.

Getting to Cadiz is cheap too, with easyJet having £17.99 flights to the nearby Jerez Airport.
Package holidays can be found with Thomas Cook from £752pp, which includes rooms, flights and breakfast.
Thousands of holidaymakers have given the resort five star ratings, with it being a popular option mainly with Spanish tourists.
One person said: “It was one of the nicest places we have stayed… it was a truly magical place.
“The gardens are beautiful and the breakfast was out of this world.”
Others raved about how peaceful the hotel was, and praised the staff as well.”

She wrote: “Cadiz gives a very different insight into Spain than the more well-trodden Costa del Sol.
“While most tourists opt for a sweet breakfast of churros with chocolate, I wanted something more traditional.
“A short walk from the hotel, I found Cafeteria Kambembo.
“A coffee, glass of orange juice and toast served with a tub of spicy tomato sauce called salmorejo set me back less than £4.”
It’s not the only award-winning hotel in Spain.
Another Barcelo hotel was named the “best all-inclusive holiday resort” by World Travel Awards.
The four-star Hotel Barcelo Isla Canela, in southwestern Spain, won the accolade for the fifth time.
