Richarlison could hurt Everton again

Tottenham host Everton in a Saturday 3 pm kick-off, and will be looking to bounce back from the draw against Leicester City on Monday — a result which certainly felt more like two points lost than one point gained, given the overall dominance.

Meanwhile, the Toffees began the season with a dismal defeat against Brighton, but they will be keen to do damage to Spurs as they did last term.

One player who could play a big role in the game is Richarlison who, after suffering with injury issues all summer, is now fit and ready to go.

When asked about the matter by the press (via Football.London), Postecoglou offered a positive update on the Brazilian, and claimed he is indeed fit to start the game against his former club, if he is needed.

Postecoglou has a decision to make

In the latest press conference, Postecoglou revealed Dominic Solanke will be unavailable this weekend after picking up a knock on his ankle in the Leicester game.

It now remains to be seen whether the Spurs boss will throw Richarlison in from the start, or move Heung-min Son into a more central role, allowing the likes of Timo Werner to come into the starting lineup on the wing.

Richarlison made a brief appearance as a substitute in the game against Leicester this week. He even found time to miss a golden opportunity to grab the win, sending a header wide.

Spurs Web Opinion

I’d give Richy the start. He scored two against Everton last season and I fancy him to come in and do the same if he plays from the beginning.

He’s obviously ready, fitness-wise, and he will want to jump at this chance to show what he can do in Solanke’s absence.
