Saratoga Springs mourns loss of retired firefighter

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saratoga Springs Fire Department announced the sudden and unexpected passing of Retired Firefighter Neil Emanation on Friday. He was 46 years old.

Emanation was a United States Marine, a firefighter, a paramedic, and a registered nurse at the Albany Veterans Association. He also had a wife, daughter, and son.

The Saratoga Springs Fire Department said, "Even in death, Neil continued his selflessness by giving life, hope, and healing to others as an organ donor. It would be impossible to list all of the family, friends, fire service personnel, medical personnel, patients, and other people whose lives Neil changed for the better. Please keep them, especially his family, in your thoughts as we navigate this devastating loss."
