Ministry of Consumer Affairs consults industry about supply of tur and chana ahead of the festival season

The Department of Consumer Affairs held a meeting to assess the supply of tur and chana dal as chana prices rose by 10% in three weeks. Imports from Africa and Myanmar continue, while chana shipments from Australia are expected in November. Suggestions were made to reduce import duties on kabuli chana to control prices.
