'Almost killed my wife': Texas man reads Trump the riot act on reproductive rights

For the last several months, former President Donald Trump has falsely claimed that an overwhelming majority of legal scholars wanted to see the overturning of Roe v. Wade so that the issue of abortion rights could be returned to the states.

When heartbreaking stories began to spread about those suffering as a result of the elimination of Roe, Trump tried to deflect blame for the decision and . A CNN fact-check called the claim "wildly inaccurate."

Texan Ryan Hamilton took to X with his own fact-check of Trump's claims. He has become an advocate for reproductive freedom after he found his wife bleeding out on their bathroom floor from a miscarriage.

"Yeah, you terminated Roe v. Wade, sent it back to the states, and TEXAS ALMOST KILLED MY WIFE!" Hamilton posted online. "As far as I'm concerned, you have blood on your hands, @realDonaldTrump! I will continue to do everything I can to keep you out of the White House. #AbortionIsHealthcare #ReproRights"

CBS News reporter Caitlin Huey-Burns revealed that Trump's TruthSocial posts have undergone a pretty big change since she spoke to him just a few days ago.

"Earlier this week, Trump told me he had 'no regrets' about the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Today’s Truth Social post," she posted on X with a screen capture of his comments.

"I was so honored to have done it," Trump told a CNN town hall earlier this year.

"No one did a job like I did," Trump told a Greensboro, North Carolina crowd on June 10. "Including Roe v. Wade, bringing it back to the states."

On Friday, however, Trump claimed that his administration would be "great for reproductive rights."
