Cap or Bottle Cap (stylized: Bottlecap) is a reserved currency in Fallout 76. Within the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout, Caps are essential for trading, bartering, and compensating individuals in Appalachia. In terms of gameplay, players rely on Caps to purchase items and facilitate fast travel. They earn Caps for completing quests, killing enemies, looting stashes, or selling items. In the current version of the game, each character can stack up to 40,000 Bottlecaps. If players choose to trade goods for Caps, they can make up to 1,400 Caps per day.
