Blake Lively Baked a Uniquely-Themed Cake for Son Olin’s 1st Birthday That ‘Will Haunt Him for Life’

Blake Lively may need to start saving for her 1-year-old son Olin’s future therapy bills … especially after she made him a, well, interestingly-designed cake for his birthday. She revealed the unusual birthday theme in a new interview, and it’ll have you tittering with joy.

The It Ends With Us star admitted that she baked a cake that looked like a pair of boobs for her son’s birthday in February. “My birthday cakes always have a little bit of a sense of humor, for my baby I just did a giant set of t—,” she said in an interview with BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball and Friends, per PEOPLE. “Which I feel like will haunt him for life.”

Sure, most moms will make or buy cakes that feature, I don’t know, cars or flowers or Mickey Mouse, but Lively is nothing if not unique. I can only imagine what the pictures from the milestone event looked like. Not to mention, was there a smash cake, or did he just dive into the breast-shaped cake? I would pay to see Ryan Reynolds’ reaction to his wife’s cake.

Despite the slightly NSFW cake for her baby, Lively insisted it was all with her little boy in mind. “What do they want at one? He can’t declare what he wants. So, boobs!” she added. Fair enough! He obviously loves breastfeeding, so why not introduce him to something new in a familiar shape?

During the interview, the Gossip Girl alum boasted about her baking skills. “I’ll show you a picture after, they’re pretty amazing,” she said, clarifying, “Of the cake, not of mine … Also amazing though.”

As she was leaving, Lively told the crew, “The cake is amazing, you do need to see that cake! You all need to see the cake.” Dang, she needs to share a picture because we need to see this fabulous cake, too!

In addition to Olin, Lively shares three daughters with Reynolds: James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4. In an interview with Vogue earlier this month, the creative mom revealed she put her crafty skills to good use handmaking Halloween costumes for her girls. Lively made three witch costumes inspired by the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, telling the outlet, “I got cloaks on Etsy and went to the Garment District, got all the trims. Look, I did all this, the sweetheart shape, the details on the sleeve …”

Later, she shared a photo of the costumes on her Instagram story, and they looked really impressive! “In fairness I don’t know how to pattern make. So I start with a base dress (or broom or wig) from Etsy or Amazon and build out all the layers and trim and details and flourishes and build from there, applying on top,” she wrote.

“My mom used to make everything from scratch,” she continued. “I LOVED and appreciated that so much but never learned how myself. Bucket list skills left to learn.”

What a cool Pinterest mom! Maybe one day she’ll share a picture of her son’s iconic birthday cake, but for now, we’ll just have to take her word for how amazing it was.
