Norman Police arrest man accused of kidnapping, robbery
NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) — Norman Police have arrested a man accused of kidnapping and robbing a 75-year-old woman at her home on Tuesday.
Police say 58-year-old Daniel Freeman broke into a woman's home near East Robinson Street and North Porter Avenue in Norman on Tuesday and tied her to a chair.
Freeman then allegedly attempted to withdraw money from the woman's bank account while driving her car but was unsuccessful. He reportedly returned to her home and forced her to ride with him to the bank to withdraw funds against her will.
According to police, the woman had hired Freeman to complete several projects at her home prior to the incident.
Freeman was arrested without incident on Wednesday, and booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on complaints of kidnapping, first degree burglary, and robbery.
