Girl, 4, stabbed in Paterson: officials
PATERSON, N.J. (PIX11) -- A 4-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times in her Paterson home on Friday evening, officials said.
The stabbing occured at 4:05 p.m. near East 24th Street and 10th Avenue, police officials said.
The girl was reportedly stabbed by her aunt, who was babysitting the victim at the time. The victim’s mother returned home, where she encountered the crime scene, according to Paterson Councilman Luis Velez. The child was taken to a local hospital, where she was taken into surgery and is listed in critical condition.
Police say the victim is now in stable condition and recovering from her injuries.
No arrests have been made, according to police.
