Tigers 5, White Sox 2: Just 33 games to go
It was another slapdash clownery of a loss, file it along with the other 97 on the season
You’ve probably already realized this, but let it sink in: The White Sox are going to lose 100 games this year.
Wait, check that, they are going to lose 100 games BY THE END OF AUGUST.
In fact, theoretically, they could tie the franchise mark of 106 losses BY THE END OF AUGUST.
The White Sox never led tonight, at home facing the massive disappointment that is the fourth-place Detroit Tigers. Of course, that “disappointment” of a club is 32 games ahead of the White Sox after tonight’s 5-2 setback.
If you want to know what could have been, here’s some fictional sunshine from our friend, Joe Resis:
On this date in MLB The Show, Eloy Jiménez (.295/.339/.538) hit his 29th HR of the season, and the White Sox beat the Tigers, 3-2. The White Sox are 67-63. pic.twitter.com/sbzuhrzBC7

It did invite a response:
[what Joe is not telling you is that this is his 556th season replay before arriving at such a sunny Game 130 point]

So hey, back to losing. Not much to write home about on this one, good or bad. The polls will fill you in if I’m wrong.
