‘Guo’ all out! Restos offer free meals to Alice Guo – if she returns

MANILA, Philippines — Aside from Vice President Sara Duterte’s viral children’s book, the controversial Alice Guo has also been a hot topic on social media lately.

The dismissed mayor of Bamban, Tarlac — who has been entangled in human trafficking and tax evasion complaints due to her alleged ties with an illegal POGO in her town — managed to slip out of the country undetected by Philippine authorities last month, and is now believed to be in Indonesia.

While the hunt for Guo is underway, many local brands and establishments were quick to jump on the social media buzz, cheekily offering the missing “farm girl” several freebies, free meals, double deals, and more, in a witty effort to draw her back to the country. Check out these “Guo-d” deals!

Brothers Burgers

Got a burger craving, Alice Guo? Don’t worry, because Brothers Burgers has your back! 

The local burger chain Brothers Burgers is ready to welcome her with open arms and a full plate, offering her a free duo meal featuring a burger and fries to win her back.

“Hey Alice Guo, we miss having you with us! See you soon at Brothers!” they wrote.

Sunriced Chicken

“We’re not only welcoming students back, but we’re also thrilled to welcome Alice Guo back to the Philippines!” Sunriced Chicken wrote, offering Guo free six pieces of Korean Fried Chicken and a large drink.

The brand reminds her to bring a “birth certificate or passport” to claim the freebie.

“Chicken is straight from the farm. We hope that it will bring back memories,” the brand shadily quipped.

Coop’s Boneless Chicken

Free unlimited boneless chicken for a whole year? Coop’s Boneless Chicken is laying it on thick for Alice Guo! The brand even included fugitive doomsday preacher Apollo Quiboloy, who has also been on the run, in the offer.

“Dear Alice and Apollo, we miss you dearly. Your sudden absence has left a huge hole in our hearts and lives. We need you here — home isn’t the same without you,” Coop’s wrote.

Silaw Cafe

The La Union café eagerly invites Alice Guo back with a free combo meal featuring her choice of a Silaw burger paired with any coffee-based drink.
