Ben Stokes Resumes Playing after Just 2 Weeks after Recovery from Hamstring Injury
England Test captain Ben Stokes has returned back to training in nets, after he made a recovery from a hamstring injury he faced. The all-rounder was seen playing in the nets where the first Test against Sri Lanka is currently going on.
Stokes, who is known for being passionate towards the game, faced an injury recently in The Hundred league, as his hamstring got pulled in an attempt to take a single run. Thi injury forced him to be taken off the field. while requiring help to even walk.
After the injury, Ben went through scans that confirmed the seriousness of the issue. The scans revealed that it was a big injury, which then became the reason for him being ruled out from not only the Test series against Sri Lanka, but the entire English summer.
Even after being unable to play, Ben stayed with the team in the dressing room and actively had his contribution in the team strategy.
However, a development came as a surprise on the fourth day of the first Test against Sri Lanka, as Ben was seen batting in the nets, hitting some of his well-known drives. Ben looked to be in good form, indicating towards a potential return in the near future.
