Kamala Had Brat Summer. Trump Should Embrace Demure Fall.

Modesty is antagonized in today’s culture, often labeled as an antiquated, misogynistic concept. But thanks to the latest social media trend — “very demure” — modesty is being praised and glamorized among Millennials and Gen Z.

If it takes a fad to sophisticate Gen Z vocabulary and appropriately proper manners, class, orderly behavior, and humility in society, so be it.

Young conservative personality Brett Cooper recently broke this trend down and explained its origins with transgender TikToker Jool LeBron’s commentary on how to present oneself in the workplace.

Cooper wisely pushes for Trump to make similar content but warns that he will need to “get to it before Kamala HQ decides to rebrand her as demure when she’s been ‘Brat Summer’ for the last three months.”

Trump has made strides in approaching young voters by appealing to “vibe” and working with various influencers. He recently appeared with Logan Paul on his podcast, participated in a stream with Adin Ross, and was interviewed by Theo Von and Elon Musk.

This trend presents an opportunity for Trump to market himself as “very demure” to be reelected for a second term as president of the United States.

‘kamala IS brat’

If there is one thing that the Left deserves some credit for, it’s jumping on trends and gaining endorsements from celebrities favored by younger audiences. Charli XCX’s latest album, “brat,” became this summer’s descriptive for Gen Z’ers, and Harris’s campaign quickly grabbed the term to make Kamala feel more relatable.

The artist, Charlotte Atchinson, managed to redefine the term to mean — verbatim — “that girl who is a little messy and likes to party, and like, maybe says some like dumb things sometimes, who like feels herself but then also maybe has a breakdown but parties through it.”

Leave it to Gen Z and the younger generations to make any term seem cool again, despite any negative connotation associated with a word.

Charli XCX later tweeted “kamala IS brat.” Harris’ campaign jumped at the opportunity to appeal to the young voter audience and rebranded their page to match the album’s lime-green, punky aesthetic.

Forbes also acknowledged the Left’s pursuit of popular culture at the DNC, noting how New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker wore a pin that read “NJ is ‘Brat,’” referencing Charli XCX’s album. Actress Mindy Kaling, prominently known for her role as Kelly Kapoor on The Office, introduced former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as a woman “doing ‘Brat’ before ‘Brat’ was ‘Brat.’”

Very ‘Demure’

Up to this point, Trump’s campaign has been missing the vibe cue that might be necessary to win in 2024. Instead of embracing “brat summer,” the former president should embrace “demure” fall.

There are eloquent and sound arguments made by astute American Spectator writers — including Mark W. Hendrickson in a recent article — that Trump should be playing the cards he’s been fortunately dealt. With brats of the Democratic Party like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, this trend’s appeal to modesty and class should not be glossed over.

In a nation that desperately needs proper and serious leadership, Americans cannot have a brat running America. It’s not classy, not very mindful, and not at all demure.

Do you see how Trump’s promises to keep men out of women’s sports? Very classy, very mindful, very demure.

Do you see how Trump will address the border crisis by enforcing immigration laws and prohibiting illegal aliens from entering our country? Very classy, very mindful, very demure.

Do you see how Trump presented himself as a man to “fight” for the American people despite being shot at? Very classy, very mindful, very demure.
