Multiple arrested in Jantzen Beach retail theft mission
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A retail theft mission conducted by Portland police officers resulted in multiple arrests, the recovery of stolen merchandise, as well as the seizure of drugs and a firearm on Friday.
According to PPB, officers collaborated with the Organized Retail Crime Association of Oregon, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office (MCDA) and various businesses, focusing on retail theft in the Jantzen Beach area.
Overall, police say they recovered around $1,000 worth of stolen goods, one stolen vehicle, an unlawfully possessed firearm, as well as seven ounces of methamphetamine.
Additionally, 18 people were either arrested or cited, authorities say.
