VSP: Body recovered from Sherman Reservoir
BENNINGTON, Vt. (NEWS10)-- Vermont State Police have recovered a body from the Sherman Reservoir on Saturday morning. Troopers said they were notified at 9:47 a.m. of an object floating on the reservoir.
Police said the body matched the description of 59-year-old Matthew Houskeeper of Bennington. Houskeeper was reported missing on Thursday, Aug. 15, when he failed to arrive at work.
An autopsy is being performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Burlington, where a formal identification will be performed. Stick with NEWS10 as more information becomes available.
