Bittersweet Afternoon For Bowie

It was a bittersweet afternoon for Kieron Bowie and Hibs as we were held to a 2-2 draw with Dundee at Easter Road.

After falling behind in the first 10 minutes, we levelled on the stroke of half-time thanks to a Martin Boyle free-kick.

In the second half, Bowie was brought on off the bench and looked to have scored the winning goal, but Dundee equalised two minutes from time which meant the points were shared at Easter Road.

Speaking to Hibs TV after the match, Bowie shared his thoughts on both the result and his first goal for the Club.

“All I want to do when I come on at 1-1 is to try and score or get an assist. I am glad to get on the scoresheet, hopefully it is the first of many more.

“There were a lot of fans there today, I am glad to have made an impact today and show the fans what I can do.

“We know it is not good enough to concede so late in the game. There are positives and negatives to take from the game. The goals we conceded are self-inflicted, we know that we have to improve on that.”
