Chris Hemsworth Plays the Drums in Surprise Appearance at Ed Sheeran Concert!

Chris Hemsworth is giving Ed Sheeran fans a huge surprise!

On Saturday night (August 24), the 33-year-old “Shape Of You” singer performed at the National Arena in Bucharest, Romania while on his +–=÷× Tour (aka The Mathematics Tour).

During the show, the 40-year-old Thor actor surprised the 70,000 fans in the audience by coming out on stage and playing the drums as Ed performed “Thinking Out Loud.”

Keep reading to find out more…The unexpected performance was filmed for an upcoming episode on the second season of Chris‘ National Geographic and Disney+ series Limitless With Chris Hemsworth, which is expected to premiere in 2025.

After the concert, Ed took to Instagram to share how Chris‘ surprise performance came about.

“Basically what’s happening is Chris emailed me last December saying he’s doing a documentary on cognitive health and the benefits of learning an instrument,” Ed explained in the video. “And he came to visit me, and he has learned drums and he’s coming on stage in front of 70,000 [people].”

“I’ve been thinking about it a lot,” Chris added. “It’ll be nice to put this to bed.”
