It is expected to be the most in-demand tour in British concert history.

Warring brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have been working towards a reconciliation and finally negotiated a deal to get the band back together.

A music insider said: “This is the reunion that no one thought would ever happen.

“Liam and Noel have been staunch enemies for well over a decade but they have secretly been back in touch.

“A deal was put on the table and they both said yes – much to the surprise of the people around them.

“There will be concerts in the UK next summer and both Noel and Liam are excited to get back out there together.”

They will officially announce the news in the coming days, with Wednesday marking 15 years since Noel dramatically quit the band.

Manchester’s Heaton Park and London’s Wembley Stadium have been touted as venues for the massive concerts.

Rumours have been rife in recent days about the reunion.

Liam helped drive speculation this morning when he tweeted: “I never did like that word FORMER.”

When one user on social media replied to an article about the rumoured location saying “Heaton Park [is] terrible for concert venues”, Liam replied: “See you down the front you big fanny.”

Noel raised eyebrows last week when he shared rare praise of Liam in a new interview ahead of the 30th anniversary of their album Definitely Maybe, taking place this Friday.

He said: “I can’t sing Slide Away and Cigarettes & Alcohol and Rock ‘N’ Roll Star and Columbia and all that.

“I mean, I can do it but it’s not the same. It’s the delivery or the tone of his voice and the attitude. I don’t have the same attitude as him.”

He added: “When I would sing a song it would sound good, when he would sing it, it would sound great.”
