These Are the Best and Worst Fast Food Locations in the U.S., Study Finds

With more than 200,000 fast food locations across the U.S., you're usually never too far from a place to get a quick meal on a budget. If you're a frequent customer of these chains, you might have a favorite location of each one in your city, as well as one you avoid like the plague.

New reporting from Fast Company and Delish compiled customer reviews at some of the country's biggest chains and found the best and worst locations of each one across the U.S. To do this, Fast Company analyzed Google Maps reviews for every location in the U.S. and created a rubric combining average customer review score and number of reviews to determine a ranking.

McDonald's

According to customer reviews, the best McDonald's location in the country is in Eagle Pass, Texas at 2130 Main Street with a score of 4.25. Tied for second place with a 4.22 rating a MickyD's in Calexico, California at 720 Imperial Avenue and New Hyde Park, New York at 2045 Jericho Turnpike.

California and Texas seem to boast the most beloved McDonald's locations, as the one in Downey, California at 10207 Lakewood Boulevard and Brownsville, Texas at 101 S. Expressway tied for third.

Meanwhile, Texas is also home to the most reviled McDonald's in the country at 10042 South Zarzamora Street in San Antonio. That location boasts a 1.37 rating.

Burger King

Texas is also home to some great Burger King locations. The best-reviewed BK is in Houston at 3040 Ella Boulevard and has a 4.60 score. It's followed by the Burger King in North Miami, Florida at 12790 NW 7th Avenue, not far from the company's headquarters in the tropical city.

Eagle Pass, Texas is home to the third-best Burger King at 2280 East Garrison Street and the fourth-best in El Paso at 6085 Montana Avenue. The Doral, Florida location at 11400 NW 41st Street, also in the Miami area, sits at number five.

As for the number-one Burger King to avoid, stay away from the one in Lexington, South Carolina at 4301 Sunset Boulevard, as it has a 1.42 score.

The Taco Bell at 3509 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Union City, New Jersey completes the list at fourth.

If you're in central Florida, you may want to stay away from the Taco Bell in Deltona at 1519 Saxon Boulevard, as it's the worst-ranked one in the country according to the data.

KFC

The best Kentucky Fried Chicken location isn't actually in Kentucky, but in neighboring Indiana. The KFC at 637 East National Avenue in Brazil, Indiana is the best-rated KFC in the country with a 4.67 score.
