People couldn’t believe the jaw-dropping difference, as they flocked to praise Kelly[/caption]

”Yesterday I woke up sick to death of my living room being cold all the time.

”A year ago I decided to get rid of the grey and went for blue and from the moment I did it I regretted it.

”I hadn’t sat in here for a good eight months,” she told the fellow 2.2million members of the DIY On A Budget Official page.

Determined to give it a brand new look without forking out a fortune, the cash-savvy woman decided to head to several home goods stores to snap up bargains.

As well as visiting Home Bargains and rival B&M, Kelly ordered a macrame wall hanging art from the online retailer Amazon.

The epic glow-up saw walls go from dark blue to a cosy cream colour, as well as getting rid of the jungle-themed wallpaper at the bottom.

During the makeover process, Kelly also ditched the family photos on the wall and replaced them with gorgeous hanging plants in pots and other decor.

The navy rug in the middle, complete with a white coffee table on top, was replaced a fluffy light grey counterpart and a more modern wooden table and reed diffusers.

Where Kelly previously had a leafy wallpaper, the home interiors lover decided to get real plants, instantly making the room appear more welcoming and modern.

According to the woman, although it took a whopping three layers on paint to banish the blue, the effort was ”well worth it”.

Kelly wrote in the now-viral post: ”I went to home bargains and b&m for almost everything even the paint.

”Only thing that I got online was the macrame wall hanging this was from Amazon.

”And now it’s fresh warm and most of all cosy.

”I’ve sat in here watching tv all day and love the finished result.”
