A police source told Le Parisian the alleged caller claimed to have put a bomb inside the toilets at Paris Orly airport, France.

Another source then confirmed to the French outlet that Terminals 2 and 3 were affected.

The premises are being evacuated to allow specialist services, such as dog squads, to inspect the area, it was reported.

Social media footage appeared to show passengers at Paris Orly evacuating the airport.

It comes after another bomb threat sparked chaos at Brussels airport in the early hours of Sunday.

Passengers were told to “stay wherever you are” and wait for further instructions after airport staff were alerted about the suspicious threat around midnight.

Brussels cops confirmed they were investigating the suspicious threat.

Police said: “Following a suspicious report, we are fully investigating the situation. We are still busy with all the verifications.”

Security agents were reportedly seen swooping the area while carrying automatic weapons.

It is understood only the departure and baggage reclaim section was under threat and not the entire airport building.

Chaotic passengers were left stuck inside the airport as they waited for further instructions from the authorities.

Meanwhile, passengers who had just landed were forced to stay inside their aircraft.

In a later update at around 2am local time, airport bosses confirmed the site had reopened.

Spokesman Ishane Chioua Lekhli told Nieuwsblad: “The checks were negative.”

In July, Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2 was evacuated, leaving holidaymakers furious.

England fans jetting off to Germany for the Euros quarter final clash with Switzerland were at risk of missing their flights.

Images posted to social media show stranded flyers amassed inside the airport while other images show emergency vehicles.

Some reported to have been waiting close to an hour outside the airport.

A Heathrow spokesperson said at the time: “This morning our teams worked with emergency services to respond to an incident in Terminal 2 which has now been resolved.

“We ask passengers to check with their airline if flying from Terminal 2, the rest of the airport is operating normally.”
