Crystal Palace Could Bid For Star After Defeats ‘Focused Their Minds’

Two defeats in the Premier League have ‘focused their minds’ at Crystal Palace as they line up a swoop for an attacker, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

 

Palace have had a difficult summer transfer window so far with key players going and it could yet get worse if Marc Guehi heads for Newcastle United.

 

The club are now looking to go in for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah after a proposed move to Nottingham Forest for him collapsed.

 

 

It is claimed that two defeats from the first two games have ‘focused their minds’ at Palace and they are ready to offer £25m for Nketiah.

 

The Eagles have been admirers of Nketiah for some time and have regularly been linked with wanting him at Selhurst Park.

 

 

They have cash to spend following the sales of Michael Olise, Joachim Andersen and Andre Ayew.

 

Nketiah could also look favourably upon the prospect of joining Crystal Palace as it would let him stay in London.

 

 

The Arsenal man has other options though with sides abroad also looking at a possible deal before the window closes.
