Indian Coast Guard rescues 11 in a sea-air operation after merchant ship en route from Kolkata to Port Blair sinks
Eleven individuals were rescued by the Indian Coast Guard from a sinking merchant vessel traveling between Kolkata and Port Blair. Coast Guard ships Sarang and Amogh, along with a Dornier aircraft, conducted the mission in challenging sea conditions. ITT Puma sank 90 nautical miles south of Sagar Island during its journey.
