Earlier, reports emerged recently throwing light on why Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic decided to announce their separation. “He was too flamboyant for her, too full of himself. Natasa could not handle it anymore. She realised that there was a major gap between how they were as people. She tried to match it up to him but it made her feel uncomfortable. This was a never-ending process so it became tiring after a while. Natasa was not able to keep pace hence she decided to take a step back,” a source was quoted as saying by Times Now website.
“She mulled over it but her decision became firm when he did not change. It was a very painful decision by Natasa but it didn’t come in one day/ one week. It was a slow but gradual wound that kept hurting her,” the insider added.
Meanwhile, according to a report, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar and new Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir strongly supported Suryakumar Yadav as the new T20I captain to replace Hardik Pandya, while BCCI secretary Jay Shah backed Hardik.
The report further added that Ajit Agarkar threatened to resign if his preferred choice, Suryakumar Yadav, wasn’t appointed as India’s T20I captain. Gautam Gambhir also supported Agarkar’s stance. Jay Shah was pressured to accept the decision made by the two former India cricketers.
