Yellow weather warning issued for storms

A yellow warning on Monday for isolated heavy thunderstorms, primarily in mountainous areas, as well as inland and areas in the north was issued by the Met Office on Monday.

The warning is in effect from noon until 6pm.

According to the service, hail may also occur during the storms, with rainfall intensity expected to range between 35 and 55 millimetres per hour.
