Several flights have been cancelled at Heathrow Airport after British Airways and Wizz Air announced they are suspending flights to Tel Aviv over the next few days.

The airlines said they are temporarily suspending flights to and from Israel on Sunday until Wednesday due to the escalating situation in the region with Hezbollah.

Other airlines have also cancelled flights to various destinations, but these changes are not believed to be connected to the Middle East conflict.

Meanwhile rail passengers have been warned to expect delays as Bank Holiday engineering work ramps up at major London stations.

Services will be disrupted in Stoke-on-Trent and London as planned engineering work comes to a close. No long distance services ran from London King’s Cross this weekend as part of the East Coast Digital Programme.
