Pakistani health officials report that at least 34 people have died, and dozens more have been injured in two separate traffic accidents in the northeast and southwest regions of the country.

Dawn newspaper of Pakistan reports that these incidents occurred in the Kahuta area of Punjab province and the vicinity of Azad Patan city, near the border between Punjab and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

In the first incident, a bus carrying Shia Muslim passengers plunged into a ravine in Balochistan, resulting in 12 deaths and 32 injuries. A rescue official stated that the bus, which was carrying 25 passengers, including six women and one child, saw 22 fatalities and one person critically injured.

The report indicates that the bus had around 70 occupants, most from Lahore and Gujranwala.

In the second incident, 22 people were killed when a bus overturned in Pakistani-administered Kashmir. According to Pakistani police, the injured have been taken to a hospital, and joint rescue operations have begun in the area.

Previously, 23 Pakistani pilgrims also lost their lives in similar traffic accidents in Iran.
