Huge US rapper slammed by Leeds Festival fans after ‘arriving on stage 40 mins late and playing just four songs’
LEEDS Festival goers were left fuming on Friday night after a series of technical issues and one star arriving on set late.
21 Savage was set to perform on the main stage on Friday from 6.05pm, with the band lined up for a 50-minute set.

By that evening, it seemed they had got things back on track, but fans were left even more outraged after 21 Savage reportedly “arrived on stage, only performed four songs, then left”.
Revellers – who had spent up to £325 to attend the event – were left raging at the Redrum singer’s efforts.
“21 Savage thinks showing up 30 mins late and giving an 11 min set is gonna give him a crowd,” wrote one fan, alongside emojis of bins.
Another later listed the bands they saw but noted: “21savage (lmao 10 minute set fu bro)”
“21 savage turning up 40 minutes late to his Leeds set, playing for 10 minutes then f***ing off really p***s me off,” said another. “So many great bands that can only dream of playing that stage won’t get the opportunity but I bet he’s received a nice fat paycheck from that.”
“I hope Leeds festival haven’t paid 21Savage for that,” said another. “played like 4 songs and just played Spotify for the rest of his set.”
Both Reading and Leeds Festival fans were left frustrated and angry over the course of the weekend after a string of issues.
Storm Lilian has been blamed for the disruption, with the UK being battered by 73mph winds.
On Friday, Leeds shut down three stages – with their second biggest tent, the Radio One stage, literally blowing out of its pins.
Events organisers had been updated fans on X (Formerly Twitter) amid early morning fears the entire day couldn’t go ahead.
One statement read: “Leeds Arena Update.
“It’s been a tough morning but we are aiming to open the arena between 1.45pm and 2pm, with the first live act Bru-C, on the main stage at 3.10pm as per the schedule.
“The Chevron, BBC Radio 1, & Aux Stage will remain closed for today, and the BBC introducing stage will continue as normal from around 3pm.
“More info on the Festival Republic stage to follow. Thank you for your patience.”
Renee Rapp was also forced to cancel her Leeds set on Friday, sharing her disappointment online in a statement that read: “Leeds, the weather has been too dangerous for our crew or myself to set up/ access the stage all morning…
“I’m so sad to miss you but your safety and my team’s safety is of the utmost importance and I can’t risk that.
“Love you down and see you at Reading <3.”
However, things went from bad to worse for the star as, during her Sunday set at sister festival Reading, she was forced to stop her set just four songs in after rain that had collected on the top of the stage roof dropped.
